System Components

This RV Rain Collection System includes either of the following Items:

  • Item No. WWRV-RHA

  • Item No. WWRV-RHA2

  • Item No. WWRV-RHA4

These are specialized adapters that fit snug onto the standard gutter spouts on your RV. They are designed to efficiently channel rainwater into your freshwater tank or external reservoir.

Installation

Follow these steps to install your WildWater RV RainHarvest ADAPT:

  • Step 1: Identify the location(s) of the standard gutter spouts on your RV. Identify the gutter spouts where rainwater runoff is maximized and prepare to install the product(s).
Note: You may need a step stool or ladder to safely reach your RV’s gutter spouts.

  • Step 2: Attach the RainHarvest ADAPT unit(s) by sliding the silicone sleeve over top of the existing gutter spout(s). Secure the sleeve firmly by gently pushing and twisting until the inner barb is fully seated against the plastic gutter spout on your RV.

Operating Instructions

Once the WildWater RV RainHarvest ADAPT is installed in one or more locations, follow these instructions to collect and utilize rainwater:

  • Step 1: Before each rain event, ensure that you have the necessary components to collect rainwater. This may include but is not limited to: hoses, screens, in-line filters, splitters, fitting adapters and reservoirs.

  • Step 2: WildWater RV recommends placing an O-Ring screen at the top of each hose you plan to use for rain catchment. It is also recommended that you use drinking grade hoses and components.

  • Step 3: Connect the female end of your hose to the adapter. Connect the other end of the hose to your desired additional components (referenced in Step 1) or directly to your reservoir.

  • Step 4: During a rain event, the water will be channeled from the RainHarvest ADAPT unit(s) into the hose(s) and directed to your storage tank (fresh water tank or external reservoirs).

  • Step 5: Monitor the storage tank's water level. When the tank is full, utilize a new storage solution or disconnect your hose.

Maintenance and Care

To keep your RainHarvest ADAPT in optimal condition, please follow these instructions:

  • Regularly inspect the silicone sleeve for any signs of damage, blockages, or leaks.

  • Clean the RainHarvest ADAPT periodically to remove any debris or dirt that may obstruct the flow of water.

  • Store the RainHarvest ADAPT in a safe and dry space when not in use.

  • Make sure your RV gutter rails are clean and clear of any dirt and debris prior to use.

  • If you anticipate prolonged periods without rain, consider disconnecting all components to properly dry. This is a good time to inspect every component for any issues.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with the WildWater RV RainHarvest ADAPT, refer to the following troubleshooting tips:

  • If water is not flowing into the storage tank during rain, check for any blockages in your gutter rails, existing gutter spout, RainHarvest ADAPT, O-Ring screens, or hoses, as well as any other additional components you may have connected that rainwater would flow through.

  • Inspect all fittings and connectors for tightness and potential leaks. Replace any damaged or worn-out components.
